THE RESERGENCE OF CATTERPILAR

In the diversity of fauna around the globe, perhaps the animal I admire most is

caterpillars. Although the caterpillar is tiny, sluggish and humans may not have any

sympathetic feelings with this creature, the inner power of the caterpillar is so brave

and vigorous. In the transformation process, the caterpillar suffered from a lot of

tribulations in that way, which also represents the development and evolution of

human beings. Transformation is not a kind place, it’s chaotic and a source of inner

conflict because the rule of survival in a wild environment is so dire and fierce.

However, it’s probably a chance for them to sharpen and cultivate before transforming

to the next stage.

The pupa stage is maybe the most lonely stage in the process of transformation.

You know, at this stage where you are no longer a caterpillar and not yet a butterfly.

You do not know who you are, where you are going, all you know is that you have to

be resilient to overcome the darkness and ache with a belief that tomorrow will be

better. The silence inside the cocoon makes the caterpillar feel blue, which is also the

same as the emptiness of the soul inside each of us when we are lonely, lacking life

experiences. This is not the death of you. This is the dying of who you once were.

This is your rebirth to identify who you are and make sense of what truly you want to

do. This stage is a springboard to the resurgence of caterpillars.

After a long process of evolution, one day the caterpillar will be reborn,

beautiful and free, with wings to fly and people call it a butterfly. In some aspects of

life, humans will also be reborn too. You will realize how beautifully bright life is and

also realize the value of yourself after overcomed not only joy, but also breakdowns. I

want to say to you: “ I sympathize how harsh life is, however, be bold, positive, and

love yourself more. I surely believe tomorrow will be brighter because of what you

went through, you deserved to receive all the blessings of God. Imagine challenges

like the gift of life and receive them positively. Live like a caterpillar.
